It seems only appropriate that as demanding, frustrating and exciting as the season has been, Marcus (5-5) must begin its playoff journey Saturday against the No. 1 team in the nation and the defending state champion Euless Trinity (10-10) at approximately 4 p.m. at Texas Stadium.
When the new District 6-5A was revealed after realignment, every football coach probably winced. Each knew it was going to be a five-week grind with a six-team district. Only two coaches were not going to be happy when the season ended Nov. 7.
