Teams Off to Winning Beginnings

Girls Basketball

The Flower Mound girls basketball team got off to a good start this season with a 62-43 victory over Keller Fossil Ridge.

Mallory Singleton led the team in scoring with 16 points, Mellissa McDermott scored 13, and Laura McCoy picked up 13 points.

The Lady Jaguars host Plano West tonight at 7, then travel to take on Plano East on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The Marcus girls also opened their season with a victory, beating Colleyville Heritage 39-35 on the road on Tuesday.

The Lady Marauders travel to Garland Naaman Forest for a game tonight at 6, then host South Grand Prairie on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
